He absolutely was.
I love Philip Seymour Hoffman, and have not seen Capote, but I can't imagine that it was a better performance than Heath Ledger's.
I am confident that the mistake will be corrected by the Academy.

Sorry, ladies. My boy Phil was beyond impeccable in Capote. Don't get me wrong, Heath was brilliant, but PS Hoffman kicked ass over all else.

Sure, I-Mizzie did a bit of TV touching, but in the words of second-millenium music goddess Carly Simon, "A legend's only a lonely boy when he goes home alone." I'm not 2jealous.
